Corporate Bank Senior Counsel (Vice President)

Join Deutsche Bank's legal department as a Corporate Bank Senior Counsel (Vice President) in New York City. In this role, you will provide legal support for the Bank's Corporate Banking business, including Cash Management and Trade Finance. You will work collaboratively with various departments, advise on applicable regulations, and assist with structuring new business transactions. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in financial services, strong communication skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple projects.

• Provide timely counsel and legal support for domestic and global transactions in Corporate Banking, including Cash Management and Trade Finance.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure solutions balance the Bank’s risk framework with the Corporate Bank business needs.
• Assist with structuring new business transactions and new product offerings, providing legal support without significant reliance on outside counsel.

• Experience operating in a fast-paced business environment
• Prior in-house in or law firm experience with financial services is a plus
• JD and at least one state bar admission (active and good standing). Florida or NY preferred but will consider other locations
• Ability to handle and strategically prioritize numerous projects and tasks
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimize workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs
• Must possess strong communication and drafting skills and demonstrate experience in risk identification and analysis
• Prefer experience with either cash management transactions including, master cash management agreements, payment services and ACH agreements, wire transfer and electronic funds transfer terms, lockbox, sweep and liquidity products and merchant services, card and digital payment documentation and deposit account control agreements or trade finance transactions including, accounts receivable financing, import/export transactions, letters of credit, security agreements, risk participations, etc
• Significant years of relevant experience at a law firm and/or in-house counsel at a financial institution with emphasis on structuring, drafting and negotiating documentation for complex bank finance or commercial transactions
• Ability to collaborate, cooperate and work well with others in a supportive and respectful manner
• Work autonomously with various structuring groups to structure transactions that achieve internal and/or client objectives and manage multiple transactions on accelerated schedules
