Job Description

Join our team as a Senior Staff Software Engineer, where you will drive cross-squad technical strategy, lead critical executions, scale the engineering engine, cultivate engineering excellence, and serve as a strategic advisor. You will have the opportunity to work with cloud-native, distributed systems and mentor senior and staff engineers. Enjoy a range of benefits including flexible time off, fully paid medical coverage, and a 401(k) match.

  • Identifying and solving systemic challenges that impact multiple product areas, ensuring architectural consistency across the R&D organization.
  • Owning the "first mile" of complex initiatives, building core abstractions and proof-of-concepts that set the standard for follow-on development.
  • Architecting cloud-native, distributed systems (Docker/Kubernetes/Kafka) that solve for global concurrency and high-throughput reliability.
  • Data-Driven Execution: You use performance profiling and system metrics to prove your architectural decisions and identify where the next bottleneck will be before it hits production
  • Mastery of the .NET Stack: Deep, current knowledge of C#, .NET Core, and the Microsoft ecosystem. You don't just write code; you understand the underlying abstractions that allow a .NET environment to scale
  • Collaborative Translation: The ability to take a "murky" high-level goal from leadership and translate it into a clear, executable technical roadmap for one or more domains
  • Architectural Stewardship: Extensive hands-on experience with distributed systems and cloud-native patterns (Docker/Kubernetes). You’ve successfully led at least one major architectural shift or complex cross-domain integration
  • A Track Record of Leverage: 15+ years of professional engineering experience, with a proven ability to build tools, frameworks, or "Golden Paths" that have been adopted by multiple squads or an entire department
  • Education: B.S., M.S., or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent high-level practical experience)
  • A Multiplier Mindset: You enjoy making other engineers better. You have experience expanding interview benches, mentoring senior-level talent, and raising the collective bar for code reviews and design docs
  • Engineering Judgment: Ability to critically evaluate and integrate AI-generated output, applying sound engineering judgment to ensure correctness, security, and maintainability
  • We are leaning into the future of AI-assisted development and love to work with engineers who do the same:
  • AI as a Teammate: Hands-on experience leveraging AI coding tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development, improve code quality, and streamline debugging workflows
  • A Growth Mindset: Eagerness to stay current with the rapidly evolving AI tooling landscape and champion best practices for AI-assisted development within the team
  • AI Integration: Experience integrating LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) or AI services into production applications
Required Skills
cloud-native distributed systems Docker Kubernetes Kafka concurrency .NET C# collaboration leadership roadmapping mentoring ChatGPT GitHub Copilot LLM
