Director of International Project Management (Spark)

Join Crusoe Energy, a leading company in the energy sector, as the Director of International Project Management. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the deployment of modular data centers in international markets, managing project schedules, budgets, and scope. You will also coordinate with in-country partners, navigate trade compliance, and provide high-fidelity project status updates to executives. This is a builder's role where you will write the playbook for deploying modular compute in new geographies while executing projects in parallel.

• Lead and manage international modular data center deployments, overseeing the project lifecycle from planning to execution.
• Coordinate with various stakeholders, including in-country partners, to ensure compliance with local regulations and standards.
• Develop and document best practices for international deployments, creating a playbook to streamline future projects.

• Resilience: Proven ability to drive projects to completion despite global supply chain headwinds, cross-border logistics friction, or technical uncertainty. A “no surprise” mentality on timelines, schedules, and budgets, with alternatives identified so projects stay on track

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience
• International Project Experience: Demonstrated experience delivering capital projects outside the United States, ideally across more than one country or regulatory regime
• International Regulatory Exposure: Experience navigating construction codes, labor law, utility interconnection standards, and permitting processes in foreign countries
• Comfort with Ambiguity: Willing and able to build a process from scratch where no playbook yet exists, rather than execute against an established one
• Trade Compliance Literacy: Working familiarity with export controls, customs, and import/export processes for high-value technical equipment (prior partnership with Legal/Trade Compliance teams a plus)
• Cross-Cultural Fluency: Experience managing distributed, multicultural teams and in-country partners; comfortable being the only Crusoe person in the room
• Schedule Mastery: Demonstrated expertise in scheduling software; you leverage schedules as a proactive decision-making tool
• Exceptional Communication: Knows how to adjust communication styles accordingly, across cultures and contexts. Offers a steady hand at the wheel during periods of ambiguity or change
• Travel Readiness: Able to travel up to 50% of the time, including international travel, with extended trip durations when needed to support first-of-a-kind builds
• Technical Acumen: Evidence of technical breadth and curiosity to manage engineering requirements, evaluate trade-offs, and surface risks across electrical, mechanical, civil, cloud, and network engineering
• Technical Project Leadership: 10-15+ years of experience managing complex, capital-intensive infrastructure or first-of-a-kind projects (data centers, energy, advanced manufacturing) with budgets exceeding $500M
• Spanish Language Proficiency: Professional or business-level proficiency
• Fluency in an additional language (beyond Spanish)
• Prior expatriate or extended-relocation work experience
• Experience standing up a joint-venture or government-partnership project structure abroad
• Active Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Data Center Design Professional (CDCDP) certification
