Senior Software Engineer (Performance Engineering)

Join our Performance Engineering team as a Senior Software Engineer. You will be responsible for the throughput, latency, scalability, and resource efficiency of multi-source ingestion pipelines. Your role will involve writing performance tests, generating realistic datasets, building tooling to locate bottlenecks, and shipping fixes and new features to improve product scalability. You will also debug the full stack end to end and analyze production workloads to find bottlenecks. Additionally, you will fix performance issues, tune PostgreSQL, Redis, and Databricks usage, and own customer-reported performance issues.

• Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, and concurrency)
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, AWS, and Azure, including diagnosing resource, scheduling, networking, and API-limit issues in running workloads
• Experience with distributed systems concepts and client-server architectures
• Expertise in developing, testing, and debugging production-quality, scalable, multi-threaded, and concurrent systems
• 5+ years of experience developing enterprise solutions in a high-level programming language such as Go, C++, or Java
• Experience with databases and/or storage systems, especially in the public cloud
• Experience building data connectors or ingestion pipelines (REST, gRPC, CDC, Kafka, or similar)
• Experience profiling and tuning production services (CPU, memory, lock contention), including eBPF-based or continuous profiling tools
