Senior Software Engineer (Continuous Deployment)

Join Zoox, a company dedicated to developing cutting-edge autonomous vehicle software. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will build and operate the continuous deployment platform, ensuring a smooth transition from merge to production. You will work cross-functionally with application teams and SRE, set the technical bar for safe code shipping, and mentor fellow engineers. This is a critical role that will help scale our autonomous vehicle fleet and improve the deployment experience for the entire software organization.

• Judgment to pick the problem worth solving — you self-direct when the problem statement has not been written yet, and can tell a loud request from a high-impact one
• Excellent customer-facing skills, turning fuzzy problems into concrete plans with measurable outcomes, driving delivery, and onboarding customers
• Expertise with programming languages like Python, Go, or Bash, and with "infrastructure as code" tools like Terraform and Helm
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container-based deployments
• Hands-on experience with a continuous deployment system in a large organization, Harness preferred; ArgoCD, Spinnaker or other relevant systems
• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including significant experience in platform, infrastructure, or production operations
• Building a multi-tenant internal platform that many teams depend on
• Experience migrating many teams off a legacy system onto a new one
