Dental Assistant

Smiles by Design | Heber, Utah | $20–$28 per hour, DOE Are you looking for a dental assisting position where you can learn, stay busy, and work alongside a team that enjoys what they do? Smiles by Design is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to support our two dentists and help deliver quality care in a welcoming, team-oriented practice. We’re open to candidates with dental assisting experience as well as those who are newer to the field and eager to learn.

The right person is dependable, communicates well with patients and coworkers, and is willing to jump in wherever help is needed.

Position Details Employment

Full-time Pay: $20–$28 per hour, depending on experience Workweek: Four and a half days Monday–Thursday: 7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with a one-hour lunch Friday: 7:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m., with no lunch break Your Role on the Team You’ll partner with our dentists during a variety of treatments and help keep the clinical day running smoothly.

Responsibilities include

• Preparing treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient visits.
• Assisting during restorative procedures, including fillings and same-day CEREC crowns.
• Supporting root canal treatments, extractions, dental implant procedures, and denture appointments.
• Assisting with cosmetic dentistry and orthodontic procedures.
• Cleaning and sterilizing instruments and preparing rooms for the next patient.
• Helping with front-office tasks when needed, such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and processing patient payments.
• Helping patients feel comfortable and contributing to an efficient, positive office experience.
• What Will Help You Succeed Dental assisting experience is preferred; approximately one year is ideal.
• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn new techniques.
• Strong communication skills and a patient-focused approach.
• The ability to stay organized and adapt in a busy practice with multiple providers.
• A collaborative mindset and a willingness to assist teammates beyond your usual duties.
• Reliability, professionalism, and an interest in developing your dental assisting skills.
