Industrial Hygiene Technician

Turner Staffing Group is seeking an
Industrial Hygiene Technician I
to support our mining client in the Elko, Nevada area. This is a planned
6-month contract assignment
working four 10-hour days each week. The Industrial Hygiene Technician will assist with workplace exposure monitoring, industrial hygiene sampling, equipment calibration, data management, and regulatory compliance while promoting a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct industrial hygiene sampling for noise, dust, gases, and other workplace exposure agents.
Set up, calibrate, and maintain industrial hygiene sampling equipment.
Perform pre- and post-calibration of monitoring equipment while maintaining calibration records.
Utilize dosimeter software to configure and calibrate noise monitoring equipment.
Enter and maintain sampling data within Cority and other required databases.
Upload laboratory requisitions, exposure results, and related documentation accurately.
Coordinate sampling schedules and communicate with site personnel regarding monitoring activities.
Manage inventory of sampling media, equipment, and supplies.
Support gas detection systems, monitor equipment inventory, and maintain operational readiness.
Assist with field exposure monitoring and industrial hygiene projects.
Participate in safety meetings and support site safety initiatives.
Identify unsafe conditions and communicate concerns to supervision.
Maintain compliance with company policies, MSHA requirements, and occupational health and safety standards.
Qualifications
Required
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and database management.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while working independently.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
Experience in mining, industrial hygiene, occupational health, safety, environmental health, or a related field.
Familiarity with industrial hygiene sampling equipment and exposure monitoring.
Experience with Cority or similar EHS management systems.
Knowledge of MSHA regulations and occupational health best practices.
Schedule
Monday through Thursday
Four 10-hour shifts per week
Planned 6-month assignment
